Richard Rowland Kirkland Monument in the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park

Monument honoring Richard Rowland Kirkland in the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park honoring his bravery and humanitarian actions during the Battle of Fredericksburg. The monument was crafted by Felix de Weldon (dedicated 1965) and was placed on land previously owned by Mary Washington College. The land was later transferred to the National Park Service in 1987.
