Checking Progress on the Minim Canal

Quite a party assembled for an inspection of the dredge that worked the Minim Creek Canal in 1895 and 1896, between Winyah Bay and the Santee River. Supervising the dredging operation was U.S. Engineer Reid Whitford, who possibly arranged this tour of the dredge.
